Christmas Music

Do you ever imagine a rockstar or a metalhead playing Christmas Music ? I bet you never think of it. Imagine today you are going to watch Megadeth concert, you enjoy the trash metal songs being played, you enjoy every second of it. In the end of the show the band suddenly make an announcement that they are going to perform there again next month, but this time no more metal songs, no more headbanging.

The band announces " Next month we will be performing again on this stage. We will play tons of Christmas songs for you, please don't buy any ticket, Free Christmas Music for all. "

I'm sure you will be shock and dying going to hell.Hehe. Well this is not a fiction story, Megadeth member really did this, Dave Ellefson (former bass player founding member Megadeth) said he was proud to be part of a project. "I am proud to be playing songs that have been well crafted with a true message concerning the Spirit of Christmas.”

Mustaine Said Blabbermouth & Roadrunner Don't Like Megadeth

In Megadeth forum section of the band's website, Dave Mustaine has commented the negative thought about people hating Megadeth.

"There has been a lot of talk about the possibility of a 'Big Four' tour [featuring METALLICA, MEGADETH, SLAYER and ANTHRAX], and while I find the timing peculiar, the opportunity is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, because we all are really so very different now, and the chances of this happening are probably not going to come around again in the future; due to personal plans, new ventures, and the inevitable passing of torches to the next generation in each of our respective genres (or the sub-genres that were created).

"Our crew and the Japanese crew were keeping it just to our friends and the top acts. In fact, at one time we had me and Kerry King [SLAYER guitarist] talking, Dave Lombardo [SLAYER drummer] holding court with several people, Akira Takasaki [LOUDNESS] was hanging with Shawn [Drover; MEGADETH drummer], Glenn Tipton from JUDAS PRIEST, the guys from ANVIL, and lots of journos, photogs, and record company people all in my dressing room.

"Funny, it seems like Blabbermouth and Roadrunner USA are the only people who don't like me or MEGS anymore.

"Such a shame.

"I knew I shouldn't have done this. Why didn't I trust myself?

"I regret a lot of things in my life, but this is the most regrettable."

Megadeth's Endgame Updates

Megadeth's new upcoming album "Endgame" has won the 'editors soundcheck' of German monthly metal rag, Rock Hard magazine and is featured as 'album of the month' in the September issue.

This album also was appraised track by track by Thequietus.com To quote some of the appraised:

Endgame

Doesn't Mustaine just love this kind of subject matter? A regime inflicting a brutal new world order on innocent civilians etc - it's probably a bit like being in his band. "Attention! Attention! All citizens report to your district detention centres" says the goon with the megaphone before we get a satisfyingly chuggy riffscape straight from the late 80s. Again the latter part of the song involves the accelerator being buried directly to the floor amid guitar hero meltdown.

Headcrusher

Having been touted around for weeks now this, the first single, is a perfectly acceptable, straight-ahead metal track which in truth is one of the album's highlights; fast, power-metal that's a bit like 'Painkiller' era Judas Priest. It's as uncompromising and unintelligent as the title suggests. Mustaine's snarl is the key here as only he could deliver this with such vitriol, and there's more intense playing too as he and Broderick trade lead breaks. It's a welcome return to no-nonsense, well produced technical metal and a good advert for where Megadeth are at at this point.

Nothing Left To Lose

An ominously rumbling bass intro ushers in a rather predictable and plain riff that makes a lot of fuss about going precisely nowhere. Yet true to form, Megadeth rescue the track: the tempo builds to a frenetic conclusion of both track and a surprisingly sturdy album.

This new album will be available worldwide on September 15, a countdown counter

Megadeth Canadian Carnage Tour Updates

Megadeth guitarist Chris Broderick has issued new tour updates for Canadian Carnage Tour. Three shows have been completed so far, the last show will take place in Winnipeg MB, June 29, 06:40 PM.

In Megadeth Official Website, Chris Broderick announced: "We have played three of the four shows up here in Canada (Vancouver, Edmonton, and Calgary) and so far and the fans have been awesome. Some have been following us from show to show some even flew out from Italy to see us!!! The roster of bands has actually fit very well, I was worried that the diversity would segment the fan base to much but it seems (to me anyway) that there is something that each band brings to the table for everyone to appreciate."

In other news, Megadeth who will release their twelfth studio album, "Endgame" this September has performed a brand new track entitled "Headcrusher" Wednesday, June 24 at the General Motors Place in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. "Endgame" will be Chris Broderick's first album with Megadeth.

Megadeth and Slayer kicked off the "Canadian Carnage" tour in Canada by playing in front of thousands of people along with Machine Head and Suicide Silence. Check out the Headcrusher video uploaded by Youtuber, RuntRamone. The studio version of the songs also available for listening at this location.

Megadeth frontman, Dave Mustaine said " We've got our dozen songs that we're gonna be playing for the Canadian Carnage dates. Those dates are supposed to be 60 minutes long for both us and Slayer, so we're gonna have about 12 songs we're gonna be playing. We've cut back a lot of the songs that we've been playing over the years down to just the ones that are probably a little bit more of the fan favorites and not the stuff that's been on the radio. And we've actually been trying to playing "Rattlehead" too, which has been fun. And we have been playing "Headcrusher", so we intend on playing that live for everybody up there in Canada.

"Endgame" the latest of Megadeth twelfth studio album is expected to be released in September through Roadrunner Records. It was recorded at the band’s self-built brand new studio, Vic’s Garage, located near San Diego and named after the legendary and iconic Vic Rattlehead character. Stay tuned for more updates.

Megadeth Posts New Album Update

Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine has checked in with an update on the bands forthcoming new album which is expected to be released by September. It reads as follows: "Droogies!

"This week has been fantastic! Andy Sneap is back at the helm in Vic’s Garage and it is such a natural thing to see Andy here with me, that I am thinking of trying to find him an American super-model that will marry him and spend the rest of their lives in San Diego make records for me and making whoppee for Android!

"Seriously though, I love working with Andy. I have had some greats over the years, and Andy is one of them. We have been making some serious soulful and aggressive vocal performances.

"Now, Let me tell you about Chris Broderick’s soloing!

"This guy is like Tony Montana. I have never ever heard a guitar player this good. Sorry Marty, I try to keep you in the fans memory, but they are going to have a hard time once they hear Chris. I mean we all worked hard to get Chris to where he is right now, but nothing that I could have done, and I mean very little, if not zero was contributed by me. Chris is a genius, a virtuoso, a master, and I am the proudest I have ever been in my musical life right now.

"Even Justis said, “He stomps Marty Friedman dad.” What a blessing to have such a cool son!!!

"I have to get going, I have a crazy day today again. I need to finish the song I was singing yesterday called, "This Day We Fight." This was influenced by the Lord of the Rings. I am also in the middle of finishing up a lyric this morning called tentatively, 'How The Movie Ends'. We’ll see if the title sticks by the time the disc is finished.

"Have a great day, I hope you have had a terrific Easter break so far, and I really want to thank everyone here that calls me over at TheLIVEline.com. I feel so close to you hearing your messages, and don’t be shy, it’s free, so you can call me as much as you want.

"Well, I have to go wash the metal shavings out of my hair from Chris’ shredding it up last night.

"Mustaine sez, Goodbye Droogies!"
